Old Sturbridge Village

Old Sturbridge Village is a museum of 40 antique buildings that have been moved here from around New England. Each one has been restored to show how they would have been furnished during the early 19th century. There are three different areas in the village, the Center Village, Mill Neighborhood, and the Countryside, which show the different ways of New England life in the 1830s. There are many different activities and exhibits to see, while you visit. 
Chickens
During the spring, visit Old Sturbridge Vilalge to see all of the baby animals the join the Village's farm. The farm hold several animals that you would have found on a 19th-century New England Farm like sheep, cattle, pigs, chickens, and turkeys. The Village also has many nature trails for you and your family along the Quinebaug River and to the Wight Family Dam. The Dam was constructed in the late 18th century. There are various forms of wildlife along the trails including Great Blue Heron, Red Wing Blackbirds, Mallards and Turtles.  The peaceful setting  will allow you to relax and get away from the crowds. If you go to Old Sturbridge Village, then you are sure to learn about and see many amazing objects. There are more than 40,000 artifacts that make up this museum.
